Dr Charlotte Kirk brings both a decade of investment & operational experience, as well as extensive technical & commercial expertise to CEV, across pathways that enable deep decarbonization & advance breakthroughs in renewable innovation.
Prior to CEV, Charlotte was Head of Technology at Fortescue, and is a recognized specialist in industrial transformation, renewable fuels & zero-carbon products – with this expertise originally stemming from her PhD analyzing hydrogen & ammonia technologies.
As a founding member of Fortescue’s venture capital fund, she has a track record for identifying & diligencing new, high-growth market opportunities, in addition to an extensive global network. Across her career she has advanced global strategies for technology development, directed investments, led commercial market analysis, and managed policy translation, helping revolutionary climate technologies both come to market & scale commercially.
Dr Kirk has both a Chemistry PhD and 1st Class MChem degree from the University of Oxford, where she was also an academic scholar. In the British Army she was the first female to pass selection into a previously all male infantry unit, and she is also a successful ultra-marathon athlete, Ironman triathlete, & cross-country skier, competing at World Championship level across disciplines.
