Shanbor joined CEV as an Investment Manager and leads efforts on greenhouse gas impact assessments for potential investments. He has helped develop the internal methodology and construct the Simple Emissions Reduction Calculator (SERC) tool to quantify emissions impact.
His career started with KPMG India in the Corporate Finance (M&A) team, where he supported the team across multiple verticals. He launched his first startup, Webcel Solutions, which was a joint venture with Imergent, Inc. in 2010, which focused on providing e-commerce solutions & a digitized inventory management system to SMEs in India.
In 2012 he left to form his second startup, SES Environmental, initially a joint venture with Shields Environmental Plc (UK), to provide asset management solutions & lifecycle assessments to telecommunication network providers in India. He helped grow this from a single-city 5-member team to an organization with 100+ personnel with services spanning the country, before leaving for graduate school in 2018.
Shanbor graduated Magna Cum Laude from the MBA program at Babson College in 2020. As an undergraduate, Shanbor majored in International Studies & Economics at the University of Birmingham (UK).
