As an Analyst at Clean Energy Ventures, Cooper supports investment sourcing, due diligence, and market research across the climate tech landscape. He helps evaluate early-stage technologies, strengthen the firm’s investment pipeline, and works with founders, investors, and technical experts throughout the discovery and diligence process.
Cooper started his career in New York as a management consultant at Oliver Wyman, where he primarily specialized in transportation and operations clients across the country. His experience includes a variety of projects related to improving efficiency in physical operations—ranging from last-mile package delivery to airline baggage handling. Most recently Cooper held several business-side roles at Tesla, where he focused primarily on scaling Tesla’s grid-scale battery business and decarbonizing Tesla’s corporate data center and Supercharger electrical consumption through the procurement of carbon free electricity.
Cooper holds a Bachelor of Science in Operations Research from Columbia University with supplemental coursework in Computer Science and Economics.
